A very British state of mind…

We all might share the human experience but the British state of mind has a wonderful peculiarity all of its own. At Headspace, we understand this more than most, mainly because we were founded in the UK, back in 2010.

From small beginnings in London, our co-founders—former ad executive Richard Pierson and ex-Buddhist monk Andy Puddicombe—embarked on a global mission to improve the health and happiness of the world. They understood that everyone has a mind and, from time to time, everyone struggles with that mind. It’s why one million members meditate with us every week.

Of course, different countries and cultures bring different flavours and challenges to everyday life. So we’ve pulled together a special collection of British themed meditations designed for those who truly want to keep calm and carry on.

Commuting

Whether you’re commuting overground or underground, relying on public transport can leave us frazzled at the start or end of a day. Destress and unwind with these exercises so that you arrive at work, or home, like James Bond: cool, calm, and collected.

Headspace Queuing

Queuing

Whoever said Brits liked to queue was lying. But instead of standing in line and simply reaching for your phone as a distraction, use the opportunity to breathe, reset, and enjoy the pause.

Tea break

For some, a cup of tea is cathartic in and of itself. But now you can maximise that tea break by turning it into a restorative moment. In the time it takes to pop the kettle on and let the tea stew, you can restore, refresh, and reset.
