It’s one thing to be mindful while you’re sitting with your eyes closed, but quite another to take the practice out into our lives and our relationships. And yet this is where a clearer, calmer mind can have the biggest impact.
Relationships challenge our expectations and demand our acceptance, so in some ways our attitude to meditation will reflect our attitude to them too. If we can learn to be patient and accepting of the behavior of our own minds, being patient and accepting with others may come more easily too.
