Headspace sleep and mindfulness content is available now on Amazon Kids+ Sleep Studio. Available at no additional cost to Amazon Kids+ subscribers in the U.S. on compatible Echo devices.
If you've ever found yourself negotiating with a six-year-old about the definition of "eyes closed," you're not alone. Winding down is genuinely hard for little bodies and busy minds. Some nights are smooth. Some nights are not. And now, for any of those nights, there's a little more support built right into the device you already have.
Headspace is now built into Amazon Kids+
Headspace sleep and mindfulness content for kids is available to Amazon Kids+ subscribers through a new feature called Sleep Studio, at no additional cost. If you have an Amazon Kids+ subscription and a compatible Echo device at home, your kids already have access to Headspace activities made just for them. No separate Headspace subscription needed, and no extra app to download.
Just say "Alexa, play Sleep Studio," and bedtime begins.
Headspace has spent years developing sleep and mindfulness content grounded in real meditation science, and this collection brings that same care into a format kids can use on their own. Sleep Studio lives on Echo devices and is managed through the Amazon Kids Parent Dashboard, where you can set sleep schedules, build playlists, and have Alexa send a wind-down reminder when it's time to start the routine. A 30-minute wind-down begins automatically, giving kids a calming, consistent anchor at the end of every day.
Sleep content made for kids
Every Headspace activity in Sleep Studio is made for children, by the team of meditation experts and clinicians at Headspace. It's designed specifically for how kids' minds and bodies actually wind down: gradually, imaginatively, and at their own pace. Here's what you'll find:
Wind Downs for Under 5
For the youngest kids, these short meditations use simple language and gentle guidance to help little bodies slow down. Think of them as the audio equivalent of a hand on the back: calm and reassuring.
Sleep Meditations for Big Kids (ages 6–8)
Older kids’ minds are busier, their days are longer, and they have more to process. These meditations use techniques adapted from Headspace's clinically-grounded approach — like body awareness, mindfulness exercises, and breath focus — translated into formats that actually hold a kid's attention without losing the calming effect.
Sleepcasts for All Ages
Sleepcasts are immersive audio experiences: not quite a bedtime story, not quite a soundscape, but the best of both worlds. Headspace's Slumberland series takes kids on a gentle, imaginative journey, using rich, sensory storytelling to help them move from an active state to a passive one. Think: a slow walk through a moonlit toy museum, or a campfire in a quiet forest.
Wiggle to Wind Down with CoComelon
Wiggle to Wind Down is a series where kids can settle in and drift off with a 3-step sleep cue. Created with guidance from Dr. Jon Kole, Headspace medical director, pediatrician, and child psychiatrist, it helps turn big energy into calm focus through relaxing movements, mindful breathing, and soothing stories. Every episode is designed to support healthy routines you and your family can feel good about, with CoComelon characters kids already love leading the way.
Goodnight, World! with Sesame Street
Join Elmo, Tango, Bert, Ernie, and friends on an amazing adventure in their imaginations, where they'll learn to calm their minds and bodies for better sleep. It’s the same clinically grounded Headspace approach, with familiar voices kids already trust.
Bedtime Buddies
This collection is a complete bedtime toolkit with sleepcasts, wind-downs, and more. Mix and match based on your kid, your night, and how much energy they have left in the tank.
All content is thoughtfully designed for different ages and stages, because the way a four-year-old winds down looks pretty different from the way an eight-year-old does. And every piece has been independently vetted by Amazon Kids+ as age-appropriate, so parents can feel safe handing over the Echo and leaving the room.
The Headspace difference
Headspace isn’t just about what sounds relaxing, but how young minds actually settle.
Every piece in this collection is rooted in real mindfulness and meditation techniques, adapted for the way children's brains work: through imagination, gentle movement, breath, and story. The somatic exercises in Wiggle to Wind Down were developed with a child psychiatrist. The Slumberland sleepcasts are built around the same active-to-passive progression Headspace uses in its adult sleep content. It reflects genuine developmental differences in how kids transition from wired to tired.
The goal is a good night's sleep not just tonight, but every night. It's giving kids tools they can come back to, over and over, until they settle into a routine.
What tonight could look like
It's 7:45pm. You say, "Hey, want to do Sleep Studio?" and your child asks Alexa to play it. Something calming starts, the wiggling slows, and you slip out of the room.
The routine is already there, on the device already in the room, included in the subscription you already have.
How to get started
If you have Amazon Kids+ and a compatible Echo device, you're already set up. Open the Amazon Kids Parent Dashboard to explore the content, set a sleep schedule, and build your child's wind-down playlist.
