Self-esteem is a funny thing. How we feel about ourselves sometimes bears little or no relation to the facts of our lives. But the good news is that, since self-esteem centres in the mind, it’s something that meditation can really help us to cultivate.
In this 30-day pack, we’ll be trying to develop a new perspective on negative mental chatter. Rather than labelling some thoughts ‘good’ and some ‘bad’, rejecting some and accepting the others, we’ll be taking a very ancient approach to thoughts of all kinds, and actually looking to identify that place of ‘calm confidence’ beyond thinking.
The pack actually includes three different techniques, which we do for 10 days each: noting, visualization and awareness. But don’t worry, I’ll explain each one in detail as we come to it.
