(upbeat electronic music) Hello, beautiful people of the world. It's time to meet your teachers. And who better to start with than our founder, my good friend, Andy Puddicombe. Hi, I'm Andy. In my late teens, I went through some traumatic events. It caused me to reconsider everything, so ended up leaving England, traveling to Asia, and training to be a monk. More often than not in life it's those times where we're challenged that we learn the most, and it's the reason that Headspace exists today. Headspace is much more than meditation, but it's still about improving the health and happiness of the world. And I can't wait to share it with you. Oh, and then there's me. Hey, I'm Eve. I'm a meditation and mindfulness teacher and I've been with Headspace for 10 years. I struggled with pretty severe anxiety during my teens and early 20s, and it wasn't until I tried meditation that I realized I could tame my anxious mind, learn how to be kind to myself, and live life fully. Over the years, it has helped me navigate some really dark times, especially when I lost my dad really suddenly. I am so grateful that I now get to teach others these practices that changed my life, because if I contain my anxious mind, so can you. Next up is someone that inspires me every day, the delightful, Dora Kamau. Hi, I'm Dora. Many years ago I struggled with anxiety, and meditation was one of the tools that helped me better understand my mind. (upbeat electronic music) Ever since then, I've dedicated my life to helping others understand their own minds and bodies in a more compassionate and kind way, not only through meditation, but by being trained as a registered psychiatric nurse, a birth doula, and a certified breathwork practitioner. You're going to love her. And now a man with arguably the most soothing voice I've ever heard, the great Kessonga Giscombe. Hi, I'm Kessonga. I was born in the Bronx, New York. As I grew up, I began to raise my own family and build a career. With that came increased stress levels. One day my wife gave me a book about mindfulness and meditation. That book changed everything. As a former licensed acupuncturist and psychotherapist, I love helping people unlock their potential. And I want to help you discover the superpower for yourself. His meditations are amazing. Now, I'd love for you to meet one of the most interesting, kind, and talented people I've ever hung out with, Sam Snowden. Hi, my name is Sam. As a child, I struggled a lot with anxiety and every manifestation you can think of, from panic attacks to generalized anxiety disorder. I became deeply interested in understanding the mind, getting my master's degrees in clinical psychology and emotion science. My mindfulness training gave me a path toward my own emotional freedom, and it helped me to clarify my mission of making these practices more accessible...
