(gentle music) Hi, and welcome to the Sound Bath series. So sound is a powerful tool that can guide us back to our bodies, our breath, and our surroundings. Fun fact, when I first started to practice meditation, I practiced by listening to instrumentals of hip hop music and lo-fi jazz, and I didn't know it back then, but what was happening was I was trying to sync my breath with the rhythm of the music. And now I know, after many years of practice, that our bodies are wired for sound. So that means that our nervous system is able to detect whether we are safe or in danger based on what we can hear. And don't worry if you've never done this before, I'll be guiding you throughout this entire practice. The only invitation I have for you is to approach this with a sense of curiosity and beginner's mind. You can do this sitting upright, lying down, eyes open or closed. The practice is yours. Again, this is not about how we're listening, but more about how we feel. So when you're ready, settle in and let's begin....
