Hi, I am Daniel and I'm here to talk about parenting a little differently than our parents did. I had a really good childhood. I love my parents, but as a parent, I'm doing these things that maybe my parents did that I don't want to do. Not really knowing how to deal with feelings. Growing up, emotions were something you're supposed to push down, especially if you're a guy, and I want to make sure that my son knows that he can emote, and it's not wrong to cry. It's not wrong to show those feelings. All right. So Daniel, you want to take us away? Yeah. Well, I'm Daniel and I'm here to talk about how to parent a little differently than our parents did. My dad was, he worked in a manufacturing plant. A lot of people did. Just to let you know where I'm from. I'm from the top of West Virginia boarding Ohio and Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh Steelers are called the Steelers. It's a steel town. And so everybody I know, basically every dad I know worked in a steel mill or worked in a manufacturing plant like my dad did. So these are men's men, and I have a great relationship with my father. My dad's the greatest, but when I think about now that I have three kids under five, I think now in 2023, thinking about raising them and they're frustrating. They're very frustrating, getting ready for school's, extremely frustrating, and you just want to yell sometimes, and I don't want to yell too much. My dad was a yeller. He knows that he would never yell at his grandchildren, but he yelled at me and my sister a lot. But because of that being an example of what I know, whenever you're not in the car on time or you're not doing this, it's like you yell. And I'm realizing that's not good, and it's not something that I liked as a kid, even though there was a thing this morning where literally I'm on my way and I drop the first two kids off at school and I'm dropping my last nine month old off at daycare, and I pick her up. There's poop going down my arm. Sounds about right. Poop going down my arm. We're always having memories. And I get in the car and I just scream at the top of my lungs and I'm like, I don't know if this is good or bad because I'm in the car by myself. I'm not screaming at anyone. I'm just screaming at the top of my lungs. It was just a very frustrating morning trying to get three people out the door and every morning's not like that, but it's just trying not to yell as much. And also with some things that we've talked about today too, is just having a son. And I have two daughters, my son, my son is two years old, and teaching...
