(waves crashing) It is hard to tell where the pool ends and the ocean begins at a favorite hotel here in Uluwatu, Bali. The water is smooth as glass, reflecting the last amber light of the day. Here, everything is calm. The palms sway, but they're in no hurry. A chorus of crickets, their steady, stridulating calls weaves a melody into the lazy backdrop. As we prepare for our visit, let's take a moment for a short wind-down exercise. So when you are ready, let's begin. So first, get comfortable in your bed. Now, just bringing the attention to the breath, just noticing where you feel it, in the nose, the throat, the chest, the diaphragm. You are nice and relaxed. (waves crashing continues) We are going to be taking a deep breath in for four, holding it for four, and then breathing out for six. So are you ready? Let's begin. In for four. Two, three, four. Hold it for four. Two three four. Now, breathing out for six. Two, three, four, five, six. In for four. Two, three, four. Holding for four. Two, three, four. Out for six. Two, three, four, five, six. In for four. Two, three, four. Holding for four. Two, three, four. Out for six. Two, three, four, five, six. In for four. Two, three, four. Holding for four. Two, three, four. Out for six. Two, three, four, five, six. Great. Now, returning the breath to normal. (waves crashing continues) At low tide, the ocean pulls back to reveal hidden chambers along the beach. Entering the vaulted passages at Suluban Cave is like stepping into a different portal of earth. The caves have been shaped over thousands of years by countless tides and the consistent measure of the ocean. Over the centuries, seawater has dissolved the limestone, leaving rough hollows that resemble the surface of the moon. Vines have even taken up residence here, weaving their long stems through the crevices. Their deep, green leaves hugging against the stone. Evening beams of light pour through openings in the cave roof, catching on the glittering minerals embedded into the walls, (waves crashing continues) A waving reflection of gray and rust-colored rock shimmers across shallow pools. Some of these pools are blanketed in pink and purple barnacles. In one, a reddish pink anemone sways like a shaggy carpet while a glossy orange brown crab scuttles along the bottom, weaving past the magenta fronds of a sea fan as it waves gently in the tide. (waves crashing continues) (crickets chirping) The hum of the jungle recedes as the sound of waves takes its place, rolling lightly onto the shore. On this quiet stretch of the island, the canopy parts like nature's own sunroof, opening to reveal the turquoise water and pale sands of Nunggalan's hidden beach. This cove feels like a tropical oasis folded and tucked away, a place of tranquil seclusion. On the wide, open sand, a lone sunbather brushes grains from their towel before heading home. While...
