Here we are in the redwood forest. I'm going to give you a little tour of one of my favorite places: the tree house in the forest by the ocean. So peaceful and so quiet, a perfect place to get some sleep. Before we set out, I always like to start with a little wind-down. Tonight's exercise is a really simple breathing exercise. So when you're ready, let's begin. So first, get comfortable in your bed. Now, just bringing the attention to the breath, just noticing where you feel it: in the nose, the throat, the chest, the diaphragm. You're nice and relaxed. We're going to be taking a deep breath in for four, holding it for four and then breathing out for six. So are you ready? Let's begin. In for four, two, three, four, hold it for four, two, three, four. Now breathing out for six, two, three, four, five, six. In for four, two, three, four, holding for four, two, three, four, Our for six, two, three, four, five, six. In for four, two, three, four, holding for four, two, three, four. Out for six, two, three, four, five, six. In for four, two, three, four, holding for four, two, three, four. Out for six, two, three, four, five, six. Great, now returning the breath to normal. The window next to the old armchair in the tree house that window, overlooks the west. Yellow curtains border this window. One on each side. The lace at the bottom of the yellow curtains brushes up against the wall with the breeze. Making soft whispery sounds. Peering out of the window you can see the grassy field along the edge of the forest. You can see fences, and rooftops, here and there. And, you can imagine a path from the tree house down through the village. Crossing backyards and creeks all the way down the dirt roads over the hills across the yellow sand to the ocean. The ocean looks like a cobalt ribbon across the horizon. Scattered across the sea are the white bursts that you know to be waves. From here, you can just hear the waves. Echoing back to you from the water. The tree house was built onto the thick lower branches of the redwood canopy. It's a rectangular tree house painted turquoise to stand out in the forest. The silver shingles of the slanted roof add a nice touch. From the outside, the tree house looks like a present wrapped in blue paper with a shimmering bow on top. The redwood that holds the tree house is the redwood closest to the grassy field on the edge of the forest. A wooden ladder leads up from the grass to the door. The ladder has 10 rungs evenly spaced. It's very easy and safe to climb up the ladder even while carrying some apples or a stack of books, although, there's also a basket and a rope pulley attached to one of the windows just for...
