We don't often get visitors as late as this, but you're most welcome to come in, dry off and wait out the storm. The rain gently drums against the glass door of this corner building. On the front window, thick, golden, curly cute letters simply read, Timeless Clock Shop and Repair. Upon your first steps in, the store greets you with an unexpected aroma of amber and bergamot. This space used to be a perfume boutique and the memories of its wares will likely linger in this shop for years to come. One of the most special things about this shop is that vast collection of vintage watch magazines and catalogs. Tonight, one particular magazine waits for customers on a coffee table. It is open, showing a page featuring a Japanese mountaineering watch from the 1970s. A brilliant cream dial with a rotating bezel that helps hikers determine the direction they are walking, depending on the position of the sun. Surely this feature has helped many weary mountaineers find their way home. The clockmaker delights in watching people discover their new favorite timepiece. He will give you a warm glance every once in a while to ascertain if you need assistance. But only for a moment. He has to focus on whatever precious watch or clock he is working on. The grandfather clock in the middle of the store is more than enough to keep any visitor's attention. The golden pendulum swings back and forth behind the glass pane on the front of the clock, steady as time itself. This grandfather clock is not the only thing to see in this shop, but before I show you more, let's take a moment for a little wind-down exercise. Tonight's wind-down is a visualization. So when you're ready, let's begin. So no matter what's been going on today, whether it's been a busy day or a calm one, this is an opportunity to put everything down, to let go of any inner chatter and find a place of rest in both the body and the mind. So first get yourself comfortable in bed, just taking a moment to pause and be still. And when you're ready, taking a big deep breath, breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. And as you breathe out, allowing the body to sink down into your bed, feeling the weight of the body, allowing thoughts to come and go. Now imagining a steady flow of warm sunlight flowing down through the body, dissolving any tension, any discomfort as it begins to fill the body, starting with the toes, moving up through the feet and the legs, being filled with sunlight, the qualities of warmth, space and ease, as it continues to travel up through the body, up past the waist, through the back and the stomach. It's as though it washes away any discomfort. It continues up through the chest and the upper back into the shoulders and down the arms, all the way...
