The rain is getting heavier outside the softly glowing windows of this little shop. The light cleanse through the glass door from behind thick, golden, curly cue letters that simply read, timeless clock shop and repair. This is the perfect place to escape such a damp night for a spell. Many watch and clock and enthusiasts, absolutely love this little shop filled with vintage time pieces that have lasted generations. One of its unique attractions is its vast archive of watch magazines and catalogs. The clockmaker chooses a different edition to display each day. Next to the tea and leather sofas where his customers wait. Today's magazine is from the late 1940s and shows off a field watch meant for people who work with their hands. It has a steel case designed to stand up to the rigors of hard labor. And a map white dial that makes it easy to read at a glance. The clockmaker is always welcoming toward those that make their way to the back of the store where he works. Often, he'll even set aside the work he is doing for a moment to opine about the gentleness required to work on the tiny gears and jewels inside of the watches. The watch he's working on now is from the early 1950s with a gold case and cream colored dial. Turning the watch over, he reveals the deep purple jewels, which act as bearings allowing the gears to turn almost without friction. They gleam brilliantly in the shop's warm light. It's easy to get carried away and lose track of time in this shop. But before we explore further, let's take a moment for a little wind down exercise. Tonight's wind down is a visualization. When you're ready let's begin. So just take a moment to get comfortable. Letting go of the day, enjoying that feeling of having stopped. of having nothing left to do. We're going to focus the attention of the mind, on the different parts of the body. Watching as the muscles in the body switch off for the night, leaving the body feeling rested and leaving the mind more at ease. So starting down at the toes and feeling a sense of the muscles switching off the feet, the arches. All those muscles switching off. Same in the lower half of the legs. Notice any tension being let go of as the muscles switch off, shut down. And the upper half of the legs any tension melting away being let go of. Into the area of the hips, the pelvis, again, any muscles shutting down for the night. Completely at rest. Everything from the waist downward is heavy, at ease. The muscles in the lower back and the stomach are now switching off. Middle of the back around the diaphragm, the upper back and the chest. So any muscles not needed shutting down switching off for the night. The shoulders switching off. The upper half of the arms and the lower...
