Hello, welcome, and good night. Tonight, you join us for a special journey. You might have heard about the speed of light. Well, tonight we are going to be traveling along with light. Of course, there's only one vehicle that can allow us to do this. And that is the imagination. All you have to do is close your eyes, relax and listen. Before we set out, I always like to do a little wind-down exercise. Tonight's wind-down is a breathing exercise. So when you're ready let's begin. Now, just bringing the attention to the breath, noticing where you feel it, in the nose, the throat, the chest, the diaphragm. You're nice and relaxed. We're going to be taking a deep breath in for four, holding it for four and then breathing out for six. So are you ready? Let's begin. In for four, two, three, four, hold it for four, two, three, four. Breathing out for six, two, three, four, five, six. In for four, two, three, four, holding for four, two, three four. Out for six, two, three, four, five, six. In for four, two, three, four, holding for four, two, three four. Out for six, two, three, four, five, six. In for four, two, three, four, holding for four, two, three four. Out for six, two, three, four, five, six. Great, now, returning the breath to normal. The sun is setting, and light is fading from the world. Light's journey is over for another day. Here, we can relax, and reflect on all the things light did today. Light exists in many places at once, and takes many different forms. So, the night gives us a chance to consider everything it's done since it appeared over our horizon. We know some of light's journey, of course, because light was with us on our journeys too, but what about all the parts of light we missed? During the daytime, light is always so fleeting, but now, using the power of imagination, we have the chance to see light up close. It might be that after all, we can best enjoy light in the dark. As we look back on light's journey, we're discovering that light can make its own images. Light can even make things move. On light's journey today, it arrived in an old museum room that was filled with historic picture boxes. People coming here discover how light acts when it's put to work. Here, we find a zoetrope, which is a spinning cylinder with images inside. Zoetrope is a Greek word which means wheel of life. Let's take a closer look at these rotating images that were inside. Out from the box, a train began to steam, fully in motion with smoke rising as it moved quickly through a green landscape. Light itself was able to make the train move. Light moved through all of the picture boxes in the museum room. One of the boxes was shaped like a tiny metallic cottage. A label...
