It's common to feel like stress and challenges are interfering with the things that you wanna do in your life or the person you wanna be. But there's good news. It doesn't have to be that way. Change just takes a bit of practice and just a little bit of work. Sometimes it can feel like your thoughts, feelings or fears are steering your life. Maybe your thoughts and fears get in the way and stop you from doing certain things or lead you in a different direction from where you really wanna go. The problem is they don't always have a map and we all know what it feels like to try to steer without directions. (gentle music) But mindfulness can help you notice when you're not steering, so that you can decide to take the lead and determine your own journey through life towards the things that matter most to you. Practicing meditation will help you become more mindful. So we invite you to make a note of your reflections as you go through each session. Just have a notebook or some paper nearby when you listen to them and when you write your thoughts down, it really helps to get them out of your head. You can even practice taking your notes with you on your daily routine. They'll remind you about the things that matter most to you as you go about your day. As you start to do things that matter, you may notice some new feelings taking the lead. They can be feelings like discomfort or anxiety because you're doing something new. If you do notice these feelings, that's totally okay. Just give yourself a moment to pause without judgment. Remember that this new journey might be difficult sometimes, so try to be kind to yourself because doing new things can be hard. (gentle music)...
