Better mental health starts with Headspace

(gentle music) Headspace studios. When I say the phrase, new beginnings, tell me what you think of. I think of the mindfulness term, beginner's mind, and how we can take that perspective into any part of our day. Even if we have a routine or we have the same job, the same family that we're showing up to each day, we can choose to see it in a new way. And, (bright music) it's a new beginning every day. Have you ever wished you had a wise meditation teacher on speed dial? Someone you can call after a long day. Someone you could lean on for their advice. Someone to listen and help you to see things differently. Welcome to "Dear Headspace." (bright music fading out) All right, hey, everyone. Welcome to "Dear Headspace." This is the podcast where each week I sit down with a Headspace teacher and answer your questions. And today I am joined by the ever lovely, always amazing, Sam Snowden. Hi, Robin. Tell everybody who you are, Sam. I'm Sam. I'm a mindfulness teacher at Headspace and I've been teaching mindfulness for about 15 years, so a very long time because I needed it immediately upon birth and... (Sam chuckling) So once I discovered it as a teenager, I just started really going deep, you know, training with people, training with experts, developing my own practice, going to grad school. And so, yeah, my whole life, it's been this mindfulness journey and I love it and I never get tired of it. Well, I am so honored to be sitting here with you. I mean, I feel... I'm so grateful. I mean, we have to talk about this, this is our very first "Dear Headspace" podcast. Like, I'm so excited to be able to sit here with you all. I feel like this opportunity to just learn from you guys, we're gonna have rotating Headspace meditation teachers coming in and answering questions. How incredible is this opportunity? It really is and I think as teachers, we so wanna connect with the listeners. And so this is just this opportunity of a lifetime for us to hear real world questions and respond to them. Yes. So I'm so excited. But now, I do have to say before we get into the show, 'cause listeners, this is a show where we are hearing questions directly from our listeners. And so, if you wanna be included in a future episode, all you have to do is hit us up at sayhi.chat/dearheadspace. And this is the most important part. Are you ready? Nothing is off limits in terms of questions. And every caller that we feature on the show is gonna get three months of free Headspace. You can use it for yourself, you can use it for a loved one, maybe that boss that really needs it, whoever. You can give the code away. So, I'm excited. Here, here. (Sam laughing) (light music) Coming up on today's show, we have already...
