(mouse clicks) Head Space Studios. (contemplative music) Hello friends. Robin here and today, Kessonga and I will be answering your questions about how to hold contradictory feelings after a breakup, how to have more mindful moments throughout the day and less thoughts. And we have a question that is very near and dear to my heart, how not to lose it when you have young kids and you're depleted. We've got lots to talk about so let's jump right in. Have you ever wished you had a wise meditation teacher on speed dial? Someone you can call after a long day. Someone you could lean on for their advice. Someone to listen and help you to see things differently. Welcome to "Dear Headspace." A podcast where I sit with a meditation teacher and we answer your questions. Hi Kessonga. It is so wonderful to see you today. How are you? I am good, I'm good. Always a pleasure. Always a pleasure to drop into "Dear Headspace" and to talk to you, Robin. It sure is. When I hear your voice, I just instantly get a little bit, like my shoulders drop a little bit. You've got that voice that I love. I appreciate that. I try to look in the mirror and talk to myself, but it doesn't always work the same way. I don't think I could do that. My voice is more squeaky and I'd be like, "What is that? Stop it." Well, here's the thing, Kessonga, we have got some really great questions today. And coincidentally, all of our callers are from Canada. It was just like this weird thing that happened. Oh, wow. Right? That's wild. So I'm just wondering, should we get to our first question, eh? Did you- Yeah. You said eh? (both laugh) It's like the worst joke. I couldn't even stop myself. Okay. All right, okay. Enough with my bad jokes. Let's do it. Here's Amanda. Hi Headspace. It's Amanda coming from you from Vancouver, Canada. I am so happy I found you back in January because it has been so helpful with being a working mom of a four and one year old. And I'm wondering if you have any suggestions on how to not lose it when you know you're with little ones all day and all night and working and how do you be present with them and all their little needs when you are being depleted a lot? Thank you so much for all the work you do. Take care. Bye. Amanda, you are so seen, you are so heard right now by these two parents right here. Indeed. Indeed. You know, they say that every child is the equivalent to a full-time job. Ain't that the truth? Right? So here we have Amanda who has two children. And you heard the age, right? Four and one. That's a tough time. She's fully in it, right? So theoretically she actually has three full-time jobs. Yeah. And so I love what she said about being present...
