(gentle music) Headspace Studios. Hi friends, it's Rosie here. Welcome to "Radio Headspace." A few years back, I launched something I'd poured my whole entire heart into. I mean, blood, sweat, late night tears, voice memos to myself at 2:00 AM kind of energy. I mapped it, I built the thing, marketed the thing, prayed over the thing like it was a sacred altar. You know that feeling, when you just know you're birthing something meaningful, and then crickets. Not the cute kind, not the zen garden soundtrack. I'm talking soul-silencing, like ego-scorching silence, the kind that makes you wanna double check your wifi, then triple check your self-worth. I had just launched a course on, wait for it, heartbreak. Yes, heartbreak, which made the whole thing just a little bit more ironic because the heartbreak of launching something from your soul and having it fall flat is like the universe's chef's kiss. I had put so much into this course, I mean, truly for reals, I had poured my heart, my healing, my humor, and some very real pain into it. The content was beautiful. The intention was pure. I thought, "This is it. This is going to resonate with so many. it's gonna land. It's gonna really help people." And then, nothing. I sat on the floor because the desk felt a little too official, too hopeful. I just stared at the screen, watching the signup numbers hold steady at low. I kept refreshing my inbox like it owed me something, some prize for my hard efforts. I debated rewriting the subject line of my announcement email, as if that was the issue. I remember whispering to myself, "Okay, so I guess I failed," and I meant it. I felt embarrassed, confused, but also really, really tender, because that's the part that no one tells you about. When you create something real, something vulnerable, and it doesn't land the way you hoped, it doesn't just bruise your ego, it pokes at every part of you that still wonders if you're enough. I imagine any artist, musician, or creative knows this feeling all too well. And listen, I know I talk about failure a lot, maybe even more than people are comfortable with, but I do it because it's real, because it's honest, and honestly, I wish we talked about it more. That moment on the floor, surrounded by open tabs and hopeful dreams, it felt like the end, but it wasn't. It was the beginning, the beginning of a deeper truth, the kind you don't find in a win. Here's what I know now. Thanks to time, therapy, and a few good people who refused to let me quit on myself, I learned this: failure isn't the opposite of success, it's the doorway to it. Psychologist Carol Dweck calls it "the growth mindset," this beautiful reminder that your abilities aren't set in stone, that failure isn't a verdict. It's a message. It's feedback. It's the universe tapping you...
