(mouse clicks) (gentle serene music) Headspace Studios. I'm scared to put my family through that again. I almost feel kind of like embarrassed that I had brought my family into something that wasn't forever. And it feels like if I bring them into that again, like, are they gonna be like, "Oh, here Alana goes again." Today's episode, Alana. (serene music) Today's guest, Alana, has a lot on the line in her new relationship because she has finally found true love. The memories of an old love, well, those continue to haunt her. When we're in a monogamous relationship, we believe that means that there's two people involved, but the real truth is, every relationship consists of thousands of people perspectives and pasts. Some of the people like friends and family are in our relationship as background noise, but sometimes there are people from our past who are still a part of our present as key players. In these cases, we may find ourselves in involuntary and even unconscious emotional threesomes. Alana is very familiar with the concept of an emotional threesome. She's in one, and as much as it's driving her crazy, it's also on the verge of driving her girlfriend and true love, Daisy, out of her life. So, she's gotta do something about it, like, now. ♪ All of those moments we tried ♪ ♪ all of those tears I cried ♪ ♪ I won't hold on no more ♪ ♪ I gotta let go and walk out the door ♪ What's going on? (phone beeps ) Hi, my name's Alana. I live in West Hollywood with my amazing girlfriend, Daisy. Daisy and I have been together a little over a year, and it's basically been the best relationship I've ever been in. I feel like I won the lesbian lottery with this one, but my ex, William, has been a constant struggle for us. He and I were engaged at one point, which I eventually broke off because it was the most toxic relationship in so many different ways. And ever since then, I felt that relationship just haunting me and it feels like he's just a constant presence in my new relationship. I need help moving past that relationship with William so that I can actually move forward with Daisy. As you heard, Alana's past relationship with her ex-fiance, William, was a tumultuous, traumatic one, and memories from that relationship haunter, which ultimately affects her relationship with Daisy, creating this emotional threesome, which is preventing her from moving forward with Daisy. So let's get to the bottom of Alana's hang up with William because there's a lot she could lose if we don't. Let's hop on a...
