There is so much we can gain, even in the space of a minute. It can bring us calm, and clarity, no matter the intensity of the moment. Perhaps you're coming here for a minute to yourself to de-stress after work, or take a moment away from a chaotic situation. The benefit of the mindful minute is that it's always there for you to use. Let's try it out together. To begin, let's find a comfortable, seated position. Find a calm cadence of your breathing, and focus on a single sensation. Maybe the way the air goes in and out of your nostrils, or maybe the rise and fall of your belly or chest. Remember to visualize your mental pushup, anytime your mind becomes distracted. Notice the loss of focus. Then redirect your attention back to your breath. Let's begin.
