Welcome to today's session on mental pushups using the technique of single-point breathing. For this session, focus on a particular sensation of your breath, maybe the way the air goes in and out of your nostrils, or maybe the rise and fall of your belly or chest. The key is, each time you lose focus and become distracted, consciously redirect your attention back to your breath. Now you've done a mental pushup. This skillset strengthens your muscle of attention, allowing your mind to live more in the present moment. Let's find a comfortable seated position as we settle into our two-minute session of mental pushups. Now, focus on your breathing moment by moment, and if you get distracted, remember, just come back to your breath. Inhale, and now, as you exhale, relax through your shoulders, but lift through your head. Let's begin. (calm ethereal music) (calm ethereal music continues) (calm ethereal music continues) (calm ethereal music continues) (calm ethereal music continues) Welcome back. How many mental pushups did you do? Did you find your mind wandering a lot or getting distracted? That's completely normal. Remember, this is a practice. We train our minds like we train our bodies. As you continue to come back to this session and practice mental pushups, you'll be better equipped to breathe and lead through life's challenges with a more focused and controlled mindset....
