Try 14 days freeHi, my name is Dr. Jannell MacAulay. Thank you for joining me as we learn to integrate mindfulness with our families using the mindful minute technique. This is a practice that helps to center and focus each member of our family. So gather your family together to begin our mindful minute. Find a comfortable upright position. Start by slowing the rhythm of your breathing as you inhale and exhale. On your next exhale, picture relaxing your shoulders, but lifting through the top of your head. Focus intently on just one particular sensation of your breathing and pay attention to it throughout the entire minute. 'Cause even in the span of a minute, your mind will wander, but that's okay. Notice the distraction and then gently redirect your attention back to your breath. This cycle is known as the mental pushup. Repeat this as many times as necessary. Are you ready to begin? Good. Focus on your breath for one minute. Let's begin. Welcome back. It's amazing how we can refresh our mindset and reset our bodies all in the span of one minute. As you continue to practice mental pushups, you'll be better equipped to breathe and lead through life's challenges. You can always come back here to practice whenever you need to. Thank you for joining me for a mindful minute. And lead on....
