Chapter IV: Galactic Gratitude
In our final chapter of Find your Force, a new family and kids mindfulness series from Headspace and Star Wars™, Chewbacca™ and BB-8™ cruise in lightspeed to Chewbacca’s™ home planet of Kashyyyk™. Despite the challenges, these two have learned so much along the way. Headspace expert Samantha Snowden leads us through a mindfulness exercise to look back on the ups and downs of our journey, and teach us about gratitude and appreciation. And now that we’re finally here, let’s celebrate.

Last time on "Find your Force with Star Wars:" Chewbacca and BB-8 fixed the Millennium Falcon then got a good night's sleep on Tatooine. Now that they're well rested, they can zoom through hyperspace to their final destination: to visit Chewie's family on Kashyyyk. It's our final chapter and the end of any journey can bring up a lot of feelings, but with the power of mindfulness, the force is always with you. I'm Sam from Headspace. It's time to "Find your Force with Star Wars" on a journey with Chewbacca and BB-8. (upbeat playful music) (BB-8 beeps) (Chewbacca roars) (BB-8 beeps) (Chewbacca roaring) We've made it to the last stop on our journey and that can bring up a lot of different feelings. We're happy to have made it here safely but maybe we're a little bit sad that our trip is over too. Chewie looks excited to see his family and friends and maybe even a little nervous. To calm our nerves, let's reflect on everything we've learned on this adventure and feel grateful for where we are now. (gentle music) (BB-8 whirring) First, let's think about what we learned on our journey. Remember, we practiced the stop exercise to help us relax, breathing to help us calm down when we feel angry and finally, squeeze and release to help us wind down for sleep. We really made a lot of great memories on this journey together. Next, we'll take a moment to practice gratitude. Let's look around at where we've arrived and notice the environment and how comfortable it feels to be in a familiar place. Maybe Chewie can even see things about Kashyyyk that he never noticed before. We're grateful for this place, but we should also be grateful for ourselves. If it wasn't for their bravery, courage and patience, Chewie and BB-8 might not have made it to Kashyyyk. They can take a moment to appreciate their hard work and each other. (Chewbacca roaring) (BB-9 beeping) Now, let's notice how it feels to be grateful and to feel safe and comfortable right now. Appreciate these feelings by scanning down through your body, noticing where you feel comfy and breathing into that spot. And let's take a nice deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth. As you breathe, imagine that comfy feeling all over your body, as you feel the joy of being home. How do you feel? (BB-8 happily beeps) These two look so happy to have made it and Chewie seems way less nervous too. And it looks like Chewie's family is throwing a party to celebrate his return. Welcome home, Chewie! Thanks for joining us on this mindful journey with Chewie and BB-8. Remember, no matter where you are in the galaxy or how you're feeling, (Jawas babbling) you can always use any of these tools to "Find your Force" again. (upbeat playful music)...
