You Are Not Broken
We may feel stuck sometimes, but it doesn’t mean there’s something “wrong” with us. It just means that we’re human, and we’re doing the best we can.

Broken suggests something damaged, defective, beyond repair. Let's be clear, this does not apply to you. You are not broken. You may feel stuck at times, like you're going in circles or even moving backward. (gentle serene music) You might wonder if something is wrong with you. Most of us have these thoughts at some point. They're a very human response to difficulty, but they are not evidence that you're broken. (gentle serene music continues) What they actually point to is this. You've been doing the best you could to get through what you were facing. You found ways to survive, you adapted, you learned, even when it didn't feel graceful or linear. You were responding to what life asked of you at the time. (gentle serene music continues) You are not your trauma. Trauma is something that happened to you. It is not who you are. It may have left an imprint. It may have hurt you, but it does not disqualify you from living a meaningful, fulfilling, and connected life. You are not defective. You are resilient. Let's pause for a moment. Notice where you might be holding tension in your body. Maybe it's the shoulders, the jaw, or the chest. Take a slow, steady breath in (gentle serene music) and let it gently release. (gentle serene music continues) Do that again, allowing a little softness to return. (gentle serene music continues) Now, quietly say to yourself, "I am not broken." (gentle serene music continues) Say it the way you would say it to someone you care about with honesty and warmth. Let yourself be the person you wish had protected you, believed you, and stood by you when things were hard. (gentle serene music continues) Notice how your body responds. Your mind may argue back. That's okay. You don't need to convince it right now. Just let your body hear the message, "I am not broken." (gentle serene music continues) See if you can rest with that for a few breaths. (gentle serene music continues) There's no need to rush ahead or fix everything at once. (gentle serene music continues) Healing doesn't happen through force or performance. It happens through small moments of honesty and care. One step at a time, one moment at a time. You might gently ask yourself today, "What would support me right now?" Not what would push you forward, but what would help you feel a little more grounded, a little more connected to yourself. Let this land, you are not broken. You are learning. You are becoming. You matter. You have value. You are worthy exactly as you are. Carry this with you. Return to it when doubt creeps in. No one gets to take this truth away from you....
