I think many of us believe confidence comes first, that one day we'll wake up feeling certain, fearless, completely prepared, but life rarely works that way. Sometimes we think confidence means never doubting ourselves, always knowing exactly what comes next. But that kind of confidence can feel fragile, because the moment uncertainty appears, we wonder if we've lost it. Perhaps there's another kind of confidence, a quieter confidence, one that isn't built on certainty, but on our willingness to be with uncertainty. So for the next few moments, allow yourself just to pause and take a slow, deep breath in and a gentle breath out. Again, breathing in and breathing out. Just closing the eyes if you haven't already. Allowing your shoulders to soften, feeling your feet resting on the ground, just noticing the support beneath you. Now gently bringing to mind whatever you've been waiting to feel ready for. Perhaps it's starting something new, speaking up, taking a chance, just noticing what arises. Maybe there's a sense of excitement, alongside fear or doubt. There could be that inner voice that says, "I'm not ready." Or, "What if I can't do it?" There's no need to push those emotions or thoughts away. Just noticing that they're here and that you're here too. Now taking another slow breath, gently asking yourself, "Is this thought or feeling of not being ready true?" Just noticing what arises and reflecting on how does it feel to believe this thought of, "I'm not ready." Perhaps you notice tension in the body, a heaviness in the chest, the urge to wait, to hold yourself back or play it safe in some way, just noticing with curiosity and care. And then finally reflecting on, "Without this story or this belief, who would I be?" Maybe you'd be someone more daring, more willing to take chances, or even just able to take the next step. Who would you be without this story or belief? Taking another slow breath in here and breathing out. So perhaps confidence isn't something we have to create. Maybe it's what begins to emerge when we stop waiting to feel completely certain, when we allow ourselves to be open, to be vulnerable, to not know exactly how things will unfold, and to put down the stories and beliefs that have been holding us back, and to trust ourselves anyway. So as you continue with your day, remember, you don't have to feel completely ready to begin. Sometimes the next step is what creates the confidence that you've been waiting for. Take care, friends....
