Better mental health starts with Headspace

Hi, welcome to Headspace. In this session, we focus on the nature of change and the interconnection we have to this regenerating nature of life. The one thing that's consistent about the nature of life is that it's always changing. Nature continues to evolve from generation to generation, linking all life to its past as transitions into its future self. Our connection to nature provides us the knowledge on how to experience our ever-changing reality with a sense of ease and wellbeing. Let's explore the nature of change. Make yourself comfortable and allow the body to settle down. Allow the mind to notice the subtle changes occurring in the body as you transition to stillness. If it's safe and comfortable, feel free to softly lower the upper eyelids to help bring your attention inwards. Begin to soften and relax all the muscles of the face, starting at the forehead and calmly moving down the entire face. Notice the overall sense of ease created by allowing the facial muscles to relax. Allow the rest of the body muscles to also relax, releasing any physical tension that may exist. Begin to feel the weight of the physical body as it makes contact with the surface. Feel this gravitational pull that anchors the body as a direct and natural connection to Earth. This is the support nature provides us in this ever-changing moment. As Earth's nature shares stillness and peace with you, in this moment, you share stillness and peace with Earth. May you continue to create peace with nature. Now, bring attention to the breath. Inhaling, allowing a new breath of life to move through the entire body. Exhaling, witnessing how it effortlessly flows out of the body. The air we breathe is in constant motion. Always changing, always new. No breath of air is ever the same. May you be nourished by this breath. May you be renewed by this breath. As we flow with the changes of breath, we flow with the changes of nature. Let's now connect to the seasons of nature with the nature of our breath. Imagine the season of spring as you inhale deeply, allowing the air to blossom within. When full of breath, hold it for a moment and feel the fullness of breath like the fullness of summer. And then release. Let the breath flow like falling leaves in autumn. Empty the entire breath and hold it to feel the emptiness and constriction as in winter. Repeating the process of feeling the nature of seasons in each breath. Open up, inhale to bloom like spring. Hold it and feel the fullness of summer. Exhaling, letting it all go like tree leaves in autumn. Pause to feel the emptiness and constriction like winter. The seasons continue to transition and so does the breath. Feel the constant natural changes happening with each and every breath. What can come to bloom with the inhale? What can be let go with the exhale? Allow the breath to move...
