What's up? Courtney here for day six. I love this day because it's all about that future self, like the one we thought about in day one, but in this case, it's specific to retirement. To be honest, I haven't thought a lot about retirement. I know some friends that have been saving up for it, but for me it always felt intimidating or far away. I'm excited for what Katlyn has to say on the topic. Here she is. Welcome back. I hope you got a ton of clarity by looking at all the debt that you have and I hope that you're feeling a little bit more comfortable with how you're going to approach it. Now we're gonna talk about how to retire like a baller. When we think about retiring, we can often think about super old people just playing bocce ball. Here's the thing, though. You could retire like a baller. What would the most boss life look like after you stopped working? Would you just be sitting there playing bingo or would you be traveling the world? Would you have just your first home paid off, or would you have multiple? Would you be able to pay for your children's college, or would you be able to pay not only for your children, but your grandchildren? So, so far in this challenge, we figured out what is your big goal. Now we have that and we figured out how we can start saving for it, and if we have debt, we figured out how we can start slaying it so we can more quickly make that dream a reality. When we think about our dreams, though, we don't often think about our retirement and what that's going to look like. We're more thinking about that fun trip that we wanna take. But here's the thing. We are gonna live a long time, and for me personally, I wanna enjoy that time. I don't wanna just be sitting around playing some bingo. So when it comes to thinking about your retirement, the first thing that we wanna do is get super excited about what it's going to look like. Similar to how in day one, we created that dream vision and began visualizing it, we wanna do the same with retirement. Otherwise, it's not gonna be that much fun to put away money for something that's years down the line. So where do you start saving for retirement? Since it's way down the line, what can happen is that you can actually take more risk in what you're investing in, whereas for all your short-term goals, you want it to be super safe because you want to know that that money will for sure be there in the next few years. Over 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, or more, there's gonna be tons of fluctuations in the market. Now, that means that there are gonna be super bad years, and there's also gonna be super...
