Your body is constantly communicating with you, sending signals about what it needs, what's working and what's not, but in the noise of daily life, those messages can get lost in translation. This practice is about opening up that line of communication because when you can actually hear what your body is telling you, you can make informed choices about what you consume, not from rules or shoulds, but from a place of care and attention. So take a moment just to settle in, finding a comfortable position, either seated upright or lying down, and your eyes can be open or closed. Now, taking a few deep breaths here, in through the nose and out through the mouth. On the next exhale, returning the breath back to its natural rhythm, and just beginning to sense and feel your whole body, not analyzing or fixing, just meeting yourself here as you are right now. Noticing where you can feel energy in the body. Maybe there's a sense of aliveness, warmth, vibrating, just noticing where that lives. Perhaps gently scanning the body from head to toe. And as you do this, also noticing where you can feel or sense any heaviness or depletion, places in the body that feel tired, sluggish, like they're asking for something. Maybe it's extra care, kindness, or just your attention. And without judgment, thinking about how you've been nourishing yourself lately. So the foods that you've been eating, the water that you've had or haven't had, how much you've been sleeping, even reflecting on what you've been watching or listening to, the conversations that you've been having. These are also things that we consume, that can drain us or give us energy. So just noticing what arises here. And if the mind starts wandering or gets distracted, that's okay. Gently guiding it back to this moment. Now, based on what you've been consuming, how might that be showing up for you in your body right now? What is your body signaling or telling you? Maybe there's a desire for rest, for movement, or to even just slow down. Whatever there is, letting it be just as it is, listening to the body as if we were listening to a loved one or a friend. This kind of listening can help you build trust with your body. The more you slow down and tune in, the clearer the signals become. And from that clarity, you can make choices that actually serve you, choices about food, rest, movement, all of it. Your body knows what it needs, and you can learn by listening. So taking a deep breath here, and when you're ready, slowly and gently opening your eyes and taking whatever you discovered here into the rest of your day. Maybe it's a deep breath if you're feeling stressed or a moment to rest if you realize you're tired. Learning to listen to our bodies can take some time and practice. So come back to this exercise anytime...
