Try 14 days freeHi and welcome to "Headspace" as we explore the practice of loving Earth. In many ways, Earth is an extremely abundant planet. No matter how you look at it, Earth continues to provide us with everything we need to live, including a tremendous biodiversity, beauty, and wonder. We can also take so much of it for granted but the truth is we cannot experience this life without Earth's abundant ways. It is important to recognize the toll of our actions and take full responsibility. How we see and treat the planet will determine the availability of our life-sustaining natural resources. When you make time as you are now to practice your ability to love Earth, you can enhance your way of relating with Earth and all its other forms of life. In this practice, the goal is to love and respect the wellbeing of mother nature by acknowledging our responsibility to lovingly take care of the planet. For now, keep the eyes open and make yourself as comfortable as possible. Whether you're sitting upright or lying down, find yourself becoming very still as you bring attention to the weight of your body where it makes contact with the surface and allowing yourself to completely settle in. Begin to bring attention to your natural breathing pattern at the entrance of the nostrils, noticing your inhalation and noticing your exhalation. If your situation allows, you're welcome to lightly close the eyes and continue to focus on the flow of your natural breath. We are not judging it; we are simply noticing the natural flow of breath. Whether deep or shallow, fast or slow, makes no difference. Allow it to be your natural breathing pattern, accept it as it is, and simply notice. Noticing your inhalation and noticing your exhalation. As we feel our presence in this moment, let's envision Earth and all forms of life throughout the planet and let's wish all of us well. Repeat the following terms in your mind and imagining life on Earth living in this way. May all of Earth experience health and wellness. May all of Earth experience happiness and laughter. May all of Earth experience love and peace. May all of Earth experience safety and live with ease. Just imagine all life on Earth living in this way, being touched by your love in this moment, full of health and happiness, full of love and peace, and safely experiencing life with ease. Earth is worthy of your respect. Earth is worthy of your compassion. Earth is worthy of your care. Earth is worthy of your love. I invite you to bring your attention back to the flow of your breath. Inhaling, feeling empowered by the breath, and exhaling as you share your love with Earth. Inhaling, feeling empowered by the breath, and exhaling as you share your love with Earth. I invite you to honor this moment with a sense of gratitude for the time you have given yourself. When you are ready, bring attention...
