If regret has been on your mind lately, you're not the first person to find yourself looking back. When you've lived a full life, there are many memories to revisit. Some bring a smile. Others still carry a little weight. It's natural to wonder how things might have been different, to replay a conversation, a decision, a missed opportunity, or a path you didn't take, but remember this. The person you were then could only make decisions with the understanding you had at the time. The person you have today didn't exist yet. It was earned through living. Over the years, you've experienced love, loss, joy, disappointment, moments you're proud of, and moments you wish had unfolded differently. Together, they've shaped the person you are today. Regret may have a small place in your story, but it isn't your whole story. You can honor your past without letting it define every moment of your present. Remember that your life has also been filled with moments of kindness, perseverance, generosity, laughter. The people you cared for, the lives you've touched? These moments matter too, so perhaps today isn't about finding perfect meaning for your past, or counting how many years you have left. Maybe it's about making room for all of it, the parts you gladly relive and the parts that helped you grow, because every life is made up of both....
