Building healthy habits doesn't have to feel like you're forcing yourself into a box that doesn't fit. What if instead of trying to resist a habit or change, you got curious about it? This practice is about pausing long enough to ask yourself, "How do I actually want to feel?" Not just what you think you should do, but how do you wanna feel in your body, in your days, in your life? When you get clear on that feeling first, your choices start to make more sense. They become less about discipline, and more about moving toward what you truly want. So, let's take a few moments to explore that feeling together. Finding a comfortable position, and just allowing your body to settle in. Now, taking a deep breath, just noticing that you're here. You've already made one choice that supports your wellbeing, just by being present right now. Now, imagining yourself a few weeks from now, you've been showing up for yourself in small, consistent ways. Not perfectly, but kindly. How does your body feel? Maybe there's a lightness you haven't felt in a while, a steadiness after sticking to your routine, or maybe you just feel more at home in your own skin. What do you notice, and how are you moving through your days? There's something that shifts when we're taking care of ourselves. Maybe you have more patience, challenges feel more manageable. You're finding it easier to be present with the people you care about, or feeling the positive momentum of consistently sticking to that one routine. Notice how you feel about yourself in this moment. There's this sense of trust that comes from consistently choosing what supports you. It's subtle, and it's steady, like you know you can count on yourself. So, just noticing what arises and taking your time here. And if the mind gets distracted, just gently returning your focus, and reflecting on, what else do you notice about this version of yourself? What feels different, what feels possible? And from this place, this feeling of taking care of yourself, let yourself get curious. How do you want to feel? Not only what habit you think you should build, but the feeling underneath it. Maybe it's energized, calm, strong, or grounded. There's no right answer here. Whatever that feeling is, allowing it to settle into your body for a moment. This is your intention. Not just a goal to achieve, but a feeling to move toward. A gentle north star for the choices that you make. So, from this feeling, what small step feels right? What's one way you can move toward this feeling today? Just gently noticing what arises. You don't have to change everything at once. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to keep choosing yourself, one moment at a time. Come back to this practice and feeling whenever you need to remember why your choices matter, why your wellbeing matters, and remembering that...
