Maybe you don't think about your hormones very often, but they are working constantly behind the scenes, regulating your energy, your mood, your sleep, even your hair health. They're a part of a beautiful intelligence system, always responding to what's happening inside and around you. As you move through your days thinking, doing, planning, caring for others. This system is working in the background, helping you to meet each moment, but in the busyness of daily life, you may rarely find a moment to fully and deeply rest. And without rest, that same system can drift out of its natural rhythm. Rest is essential. It's one of the primary ways the body restores balance. When we create the right conditions, when we slow down, soften and create space, the body begins to do what it has always known how to do, regulate, recalibrate, and rebalance. And this is what this practice is here to support you with. So finding a comfortable position, seated, or lying down, eyes can be open or closed, whatever feels right for you. Now guiding your awareness to the shoulders and neck, another area of the body where tension is held. Now, breathing in and exhaling slowly, allowing the shoulders to drop, the neck to lengthen. Any tightness here, beginning to ease and release. Now guiding your attention to the chest and belly. Breathing in, feeling the belly rise and exhaling slowly and fully. Allowing this whole area to soften and release, and just feeling this area of the body a little more settled now. And now expanding our awareness sensing the whole body from the face all the way down to the feet. And taking one final extended exhale here. Breathing in, and breathing out completely. Letting everything go, and just resting here. Nothing to do, nothing to fix, nothing to improve, allowing the body to be still as best as you can. And if the mind wanders, just gently guiding it back to the sensations present in the body. Now, noticing the weight of the body pressing down into the surface beneath you, gently guiding your awareness back to the sounds around you in your...
