So, maybe you're arriving to this practice feeling disconnected, alone, or isolated. Loneliness has a way of making us feel like we're the only one experiencing it. But this feeling is one of the most shared human experiences there is. For right now, just take a moment to settle in, finding a comfortable position and allowing the eyes to close or lowering your gaze, feeling the weight of the body pressing down into the surface beneath you, and just noticing that contact and that steadiness. Now, taking a deep breath, and on the exhale, gently resting a hand on your heart, feeling the warmth of your own touch, and Just beginning to bring to mind a place that you love and enjoy. A place where you feel at ease, happy and relaxed. And just allowing this warmth and happiness to fill the body. Now, letting go of that image, allowing this feeling to remain. And when you're ready, Breathing in slowly, drawing this happiness and ease in towards yourself. And breathing out, sending that same happiness and ease outward to everyone, everywhere who is sitting with this feeling right now. Breathing in for yourself, and breathing out, sending it to all others. Continuing at your own pace, knowing that, in this very moment, you are connected to something much larger than this feeling. Taking one more breath in for yourself and a long breath out for others. Now, just beginning to feel the weight of the body resting on the surface beneath you. Noticing sounds around you in your space. And when you're ready, slowly and gently opening your eyes and carrying this feeling with you wherever you're off to next....
