At the end of a long day, caring, supporting, and showing up for your children and your parents can leave you feeling like the to-do list never ends. But just for right now, let's try setting it down together. So closing your eyes, if you'd like or just softening your gaze. Taking a deep breath in, and a gentle breath out. Now imagine yourself sitting beside a quiet stream. The water moves at its own pace, steady and unhurried, with whatever is remaining on your to-do list. Imagine just gently placing it into the stream, setting it gently on the water, watching as it floats downstream, not lost or forgotten. Just set aside for now. You can also return to it later, but for this moment, allowing the stream to hold it for you. As different to-dos arise in the mind, continuing to place them into the stream. To close, let's take another deep breath here. And just gently remind yourself that you are worthy of this moment of rest. Even when things are undone, it's okay to pause as the world keeps moving. Take care....
