So there's a question that tends to surface right before something begins or changes, before a decision, a conversation, a chapter you haven't stepped into yet. And that is, can I trust who I'll be on the other side of this? Maybe you're standing at the edge of something right now, something unfamiliar, something that hasn't happened yet, and your mind is already trying to prepare, to predict, to make sure you're ready before you even get there. That instinct makes sense, but I think there's another way to meet this moment. Instead of trying to figure everything out in advance, we can borrow a little steadiness and confidence from someone who's already been there, the future version of you. So for these next few moments, we're gonna practice meeting them. Take a moment to find a position that feels most supportive for you right now. And if it feels all right, closing the eyes. Now, taking a breath in through the nose and breathing out through the mouth. One more time, breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Now, noticing the gentle contact of your body, meeting the surface beneath it, the chair, the ground, the cushion beneath you. Letting that contact remind you, you're held here in this moment. Now, bring to mind a time from your past when things felt uncertain, a beginning, an ending, a decision you weren't sure how to make, and noticing how that moment felt. Maybe there was a mix of doubt and momentum moving forward without knowing exactly where you're headed. And here's the part worth remembering. Even though you felt uncertain, you made it through. Messy, unfinished, imperfect, but you found your way. And that version of you is still here, woven into who you are right now. So let's meet someone else for a moment, the future you ahead, the one who has already lived through whatever is weighing on you right now. Picture them even loosely. Maybe they're a little further down the road or maybe they're just breathing a little easier. They're imperfect too. They don't have every answer, but they're steady in a way that only comes from having lived through exactly this. They got there using the same resources you're holding right now, the ability to adapt, to ask for help, to keep going when things felt shaky. Let yourself borrow some of their steadiness and confidence, breathing in courage and breathing out doubt just for these few final breaths. Breathing in confidence. Breathing out worry. Now, taking one more deep breath in and letting it out slowly. Whatever is ahead of you, some version of you has already met something like it and found a way through. So trust them and trust you. You got this....
