When life feels uncertain, it's natural to look outside of ourselves for reassurance. We want someone to tell us it's all gonna work out, that we're making the right decision, that nothing will go wrong. But the truth is, there are very few guarantees in life. So perhaps the question isn't, how do I become certain? Perhaps it's, how do I learn to trust myself even when I don't know what's coming next? So just begin to settle in. Sitting upright, relaxing the shoulders. Taking a slow, deep breath in. And a gentle breath out. And just closing the eyes if you haven't already, and feeling your feet on the ground, noticing the support of the chair or cushion beneath you. Beginning to bring to mind a time you showed up for yourself. Maybe you got out of bed on a difficult day, or you went for the walk you promised yourself. Stayed disciplined with your meditation practice, or kept going when things felt hard. Self-trust isn't built all at once. It's built in these small moments. Every time you keep a promise to yourself, you send a message to your mind that says, I can count on myself. Every time you care for yourself when life feels uncertain, you strengthen that trust. So if you're waiting to feel completely confident before taking the next step, remember this, you don't need to trust that everything will work out exactly as planned. You only need to trust that whatever happens, you'll meet it. The same way you've met every challenge before this one. One breath, one decision, one moment at a time. So taking one more slow breath in and a deep breath out. Take a moment to remember that version of yourself. Notice what it feels like to recognize and appreciate your own efforts. Maybe even thanking yourself for showing up. Learning to trust ourselves is a practice, and every time you keep a promise to yourself, you strengthen that trust, little by little and moment by moment....
