Let's begin by taking a deep breath in and a slow breath out. Your eyes can be open or closed for this exercise. First, I want to acknowledge that you're here taking the first step and accepting help by caring for yourself. Sometimes caring deeply can make it hard to let others care for us, or even allow others to care for our loved ones. We want to be there for every moment and every need, but it can't always be you, and that's okay. You can't do it all alone. So take another slow breath in, and as you breathe out, release any guilt or pressure to be everything all at once. Now, let's try repeating these gentle truths. You can say them silently or out loud to yourself. I can be soft yet strong. I can lead and still need support. I can care deeply and still need care for myself and those I love. Accepting help doesn't make me less, it keeps me whole. I'm allowed to rest, receive, and to let others show up for me. And just allowing these words to settle in the mind and body. Maybe just resting a hand on the heart, holding yourself, as you're held and helped by others. We'll take one more deep breath here, and on the exhale, opening your eyes. And from here, see if you can carry these words as a gentle reminder as you move throughout the day. Take care....
