Welcome to your midday reset. We'll be using the breath as an anchor to the present moment, as well as using these different instruments here to restore the body. For this session, I decided to use my crystal singing bowl, the chimes and the rainstick in order to provide the mind and body a space to relax, receive, and to be washed by the sounds. So whenever you're ready, sit back, relax, and let's begin. (gentle music) For this breathing technique, it's best to be sitting upright so you can breathe fully into the body. However, once the instruments begin, you can move to a lying down position if you'd like. So spine is tall, shoulders relaxed, palms of the hands resting on the legs. And then just gently closing the eyes when you're ready. Now, taking a few moments here just to notice how you feel as you arrive and settle in. Noticing how the mind and body feel. And then, just becoming aware of the breath. For this breathing exercise, we'll breathe in through the nose, filling the lungs with air, feeling the belly expand, and then breathing out through the mouth, letting everything go. On the next inhale, we're breathing in through the mouth like we're sipping a straw and exhaling out through the nose. So, let's try this together. In through the nose, out through the mouth, pursing the lips breathing in through the mouth, and out through the nose. In through the nose, out through the mouth, in through the mouth, and out through the nose. One more time together. In through the nose, out through the mouth, in through the mouth, and out through the nose. And just continuing on your own now. Taking your time to breathe. To relax and settle. And on the next exhale, returning the breath back to its natural rhythm and pace. Allowing the breath to flow naturally and evenly. And now settling in, lying down if you'd like, and listening to the sounds of my crystal balls and chimes. Allowing them to reset and restore the mind and body. (gentle music) Once I'm done, you'll hear the bell and I'll bring you out of your practice. (bell chiming) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (bell chiming continues) (rainstick pattering) (rainstick pattering continues) (rainstick pattering continues) (rainstick pattering continues) (rainstick pattering continues) (rainstick pattering continues) (bell chiming) (rainstick pattering) (bell chiming continues) (rainstick pattering) (bell chiming) (rainstick pattering continues) (bell chiming) (bell chiming) Just beginning to notice your body making contact with the surface beneath you, inviting gentle movement into the body, stretching, if that feels good. And when you're ready, slowly and gently opening your eyes and taking a moment here to notice how you feel now after that practice. How does the mind feel? And how...
