(alarm rings) When we're learning a new skill, we need two things. We need discipline and we also need flexibility. We need discipline to come back and practice a skill again and again and again. But of course it's not always possible to keep to a strict routine. (blue character snoring) So it's really important that we have flexibility, too. So that if we do miss a day or longer we don't give up or give ourselves a hard time. Instead, we simply pick up where we left off. The most important thing, though, is to realize when we haven't done our meditation and then simply do it later in the day or even the next day. Best not to put it off for too long, though. And if you do miss a few sessions it might just be worth starting the pack again. Don't worry, that's not going backwards. It's still moving forwards, but with an earlier technique. But the key thing is that if you do miss a session, don't overthink it. Simply sit down, press play, close your eyes, and just like that, you're back on track....
