Welcome back to Headspace Pro and to day one of level four. Now, when you're training the mind in this way when you're just sitting in silence without any kind of guidance, any kind of structure, for sure, at some stage doubt will arise in the mind it can be a big kind of doubt as to whether the exercise is doing anything. It can be doubting yourself, doubting your ability to apply the instructions. Maybe doubting your own sanity on some days (chuckles) when the mind is very busy there are many different ways of doubt sort of creeping into the exercise. If you know how to work with doubt, if you know how to relate to it, Then it becomes a really valuable, a really important part of the exercise. But of course, if you don't and if you buy into the doubt then it can even be a cause of you giving up training the mind. So it's really important that you know how to work with doubt when it arises in silence. So over the next 10 days, we're gonna be looking at the different aspects of doubt and looking at how you can best work with those when they arise. For now, though you can just take a moment or two just to get comfortable. And when you're ready, just taking a couple of nice, big, deep breaths. Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. And just opening the eyes now. As you just settle back into the space around you and more aware of the different senses. Just pausing to appreciate that feeling once again, for having taken some time out for yourself. Enjoying that silence. And as you go through your day today, continuing with this theme of doubt, just reflecting on how much doubt you experience in your life. Where are you on a scale of 1 to 10, do you think? Do you have a tendency to always search for a place of security and certainty? Or is the mind quite at ease with being uncertain, not knowing? Is it comfortable with doubt? So this is a starting place, just reflecting, assessing, where we are right now and I'll see you back here tomorrow for day two....
