Headspace Applicant Privacy Notice

1. Scope
Headspace is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This Privacy Notice describes how Headspace, Inc., Headspace Meditation Limited, Headspace Medical Group (CA), P.C. and our other subsidiaries, affiliates, and related entities (collectively, "Headspace," "we," or "us") collect and process personal information about you during the recruiting, evaluating, and hiring processes. This Privacy Notice also describes your rights, depending on where you reside, regarding the personal information that we hold about you and how you may exercise them.
This Privacy Notice applies to job applicants only and does not apply to our employees, contractors, or customers.
2. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
Personal information means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you. The table below explains what personal information we collect and for which purposes we use it. Please note that the inclusion of a category below does not mean we collected all such personal information within that category but that we may have collected at least a subset of that category from applicants within the past 12 months. These categories are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (“CCPA”).

We do not sell or share applicant personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA (§1798.140).

4. Sources of Personal Information
We obtain your personal information from:
You directly from application forms, interviews, and other communications
Third-party service providers such as background check service providers, credentials verification organizations, and recruiting platforms
Former employers or references
Educational institutions
Regulators or official bodies where required
Medical professionals if accommodations or fitness-for-duty assessments apply
Public platforms such as LinkedIn
5. Disclosure of Personal Information
We disclose applicant personal information to the following parties for business purposes:
Internal teams including human resources, recruitment, legal, and security
Service providers who support recruiting, background checks, data hosting, or analytics
Affiliates and subsidiaries involved in the hiring process
Government authorities when legally required
Transaction partners in the case of a business transfer (with limitations)
All service providers are contractually restricted from using personal information for any purposes inconsistent with applicable law.
6. Retention of Personal Information
We retain applicant personal information for only as long as necessary to:
Fulfill recruiting and hiring purposes
Maintain business records
Comply with legal obligations or exercise our legal rights

California applicants have the right to:
Right to Know/Access what personal information we collect and how we use it
Right to Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions
Right to Correct inaccurate personal information
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information for applicable processing categories
Right to Non-Discrimination for exercising privacy rights
