Mindful eating

This is meditation in action. Pure and simple. How do we take that new-found quality of calm, clear awareness from our meditation and apply it to everyday life? Mindful eating

I've just stated Andy's book about diets. The first exercise involved eating chocolate, mindfully. Felt like I had a lump of tasteless plastic in my mouth. After two squares I binned the rest of the bar and thought about how much the eating of chocolate has become wrapped up with other things : a cup of coffee to help it melt and wash it down, the speed at which I eat, the idea of treating myself.

Shocked that without the ritual I've built around chocolate, it doesn't appear that I actually like it that much.
