Self Esteem Session

I continue the 'Self Esteem session' and try to apply this meditation to everyday. As a result I notice each thinking or feeling and try to return to breath or to current affairs. That process is tensing for me, it looks like control my mind and feelings every time. But I'd like be calm. May be I do something wrong... What can you recommend for me ?
