Can anyone explain to me what it means to experience a calm, clear mind whilst in the middle of a powerful emotion such as anger? It just feels like a contradiction. I cannot see how it is possible to experience both at the same time. When I experience anger my body is filled with tension and my mind with angry thoughts, and it feels like a pressure cooker needing to desperately explode and let it all out. There is no blue sky of calm and clarity. How can both exist at the same time? And I'm not sure I have ever actually experienced this blue sky, or know what it is exactly.
