Sun down place is a beautiful red brick apartment building sat around a central courtyard in a quiet part of the city. A leafy peaceful spot despite its urban setting. Its residents, a considerate neighborly people, occasionally ever so slightly eccentric. And whether you're just visiting or you're here to stay, they're always incredibly welcoming. And there's such a lovely view from the windows here. Always something to look at out in the courtyard or in the apartments opposite you. As the sun sinks below the roofs and evening takes hold, before we begin enjoying the view, I always think it's nice to prepare the mind and the body with a little wind down. Tonight's exercise is a really simple breathing exercise. So when you're ready, let's begin. First, get comfortable in your bed. Now just bringing the attention to the breath, just noticing where you feel it, in the nose, the throat, the chest, or the diaphragm. You're nice and relaxed. So we're going to be taking a deep breath in for four, holding it for four and then breathing out for six. So are you ready? Let's begin. In for four, two, three, four. Hold it for four, two, three, four. Now breathing out for six, two, three, four, five six. In for four, two, three, four. Holding for four, two, three, four. Out for six, two, three, four, five, six. In for four, two, three, four. Holding for four, two, three, four. Out for six, two, three, four, five, six. In for four, two, three, four. Holding for four, two, three, four. Out for six, two, three, four, five, six. Great. Now just returning the breath to normal. It's early evening and you're gazing out of a window, actually a tall set of French doors, 1930s style, opening out onto a dainty balcony. There's just room enough for two people to perch out there on the rustic pair of bistro chairs that someone picked up at a flea market. For now, though, you're inside. The doors are slightly ajar and you can feel the warmth of the apartment at your back and the cool air from outside, touching your face and arms. Is there anything more relaxing than resting by a window and just watching the world go by? The world and its people, like the gentleman out there walking his dog just now. Isn't it such a comfort to see other people quietly living their lives? The gentle sounds of this world winding down for the evening drift in as the pale drapes on either side of the doors flicker in the breeze. The architecture of the building is such, that you can tell the set of windows down one side of the block, belong to the apartments kitchens. In most cases, these kitchen windows are directly above the sink and you can see a few people standing in front of them. Either busy washing up or gazing out contemplatively. The person you can see most...
