Introducing version 2 of Headspace

May 30, 2014

We are really excited to have started the countdown to release of Version 2 of the Headspace platform, which officially launches on 26th June.

After listening to all your valuable feedback we have decided to build a bigger and better Headspace. While there is lots of exciting new tools to keep you motivated and hundreds of hours of new content (from happiness and change, to stress and sleep) to explore, your current journey will still be there for you to continue just as you are now.

Last Friday, Headspace co-founders Andy Puddicombe and Rich Pierson gave a preview of the new platform at an event we held at the Royal Society of Medicine in London. This also included a panel discussion chaired by Andy, featuring President and Editor-In-Chief of the Huffington Post, Arianna Huffington, the London 2012 Olympic gold medalist Etienne Stott, TeamGB sports psychologist Katie Warriner, Arabella James of Future Laboratory, and the Headspace Chief Medical Officer Dr David Cox.

There has already been a great response to the new platform, with WiredVogueTech Crunch and the Huffington Post amongst publications to have run stories on it.

Headspace Version 2 will be available from 26th June. App available on iOS and Android, in addition to the desktop version.

What do you have to do?

If you are getting your Headspace through your phone, please make sure you are running the latest version of our app so that you are automatically upgraded on launch day. If you have automatic updates enabled then you can sit back and relax.  If you don't have automatic updates enabled, you will be prompted within the app to update when you login for the first time after June 26th.
We will be sharing more information with you in the run-up to release so that the transition for all our Headspacers over to the new platform is a smooth one.
