All too often we lose touch with those people in our lives who have been there the longest, and it becomes harder and harder to reconnect with them.

So this week, we asked you to get in touch with someone who would really like to hear from you, particularly someone in your family or an old friend you’ve been meaning to call, to see what a difference it makes to both of you if you just reach out and say hello, and that you miss them.

As a bit of an experiment we took Radio Headspace to the streets of Venice, California, to try and find out why we’re so bad at picking up the phone. I also spoke to Andy about why we lose touch, and what a difference it makes when we take five minutes to tell someone we miss them.

Now it’s your turn to tune in, reflect, and reconnect.
